{Eataly}

Last month in New York we visited this fabulous indoor Italian market called Eataly. My gosh was it wonderful. Apparently it had just opened at the end of summer and it was crazy crowded. There was a meat section, a butter and egg section, the coffee section, the spice section, the wine section....on and on and on... and a pasta section! Tons of fresh pasta; pastas I've never heard of! I bought this adorable pasta called Croxetti that are shaped like little silver dollars. Croxetti are produced in small batches near Genova, Italy. The pasta chef recommended serving it with a mushroom sauce. Yum, yum.

I bought this alpaca handspun and dyed as well as the tan handpun you see sitting on the table next to me.

Really neat quilted loops that we are going to try and make..

The Reno Family being very daring in their horseshoe pitching! See the horseshoe making it's landing?

{the 'Burgh}

My how I love Pittsburgh. I feel such a draw to this town; maybe because of so many family roots? It's such a beautiful city and so rich with history. We spent a weekend there, just trolling around town, visiting my grandpa's grave site and visiting my father's childhood home. I plan to frequent Pittsburgh many times!
